In the quiet solitude of the woods, where the scent of pine hangs heavy in the air and the only sounds are the gentle rustle of leaves and the occasional call of a distant bird, I found my sanctuary. It was on my very first camping trip that the seed of adventure was planted, setting me on a path that would ultimately lead to the creation of my Backcountry Camp Guide company.


As I gaze upon this photo captured during that inaugural camping excursion, I’m transported back to a time of wide-eyed wonder and unbridled enthusiasm. Little did I know then that those early moments of exploration would shape the course of my life in such profound ways.

Fast forward to 2022, and I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey that has unfolded since that fateful trip. The decision to launch my own Backcountry Camp Guide company was born out of a deep-seated passion for the wilderness and a desire to share its wonders with others.

Since its inception, the company has grown and evolved, fueled by the same spirit of adventure that inspired me all those years ago. From crafting personalized guides to offering expert tips and advice, our mission remains the same: to empower outdoor enthusiasts to embrace the wild with confidence and reverence.

But beyond the business milestones and achievements, what truly fills my heart with joy are the countless memories made along the way. From witnessing the awe-inspiring beauty of nature’s landscapes to forging connections with fellow adventurers, each experience has been a testament to the transformative power of the great outdoors.


As I look back on this journey from camper to guide, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities that have come my way and the people who have joined me on this wild ride. But perhaps most importantly, I am reminded of the endless possibilities that lie ahead.

So here’s to embracing the unknown, to venturing off the beaten path, and to continuing this adventure we call life. And who knows? Maybe our paths will cross on a trail somewhere, where the beauty of nature awaits to inspire and delight us once more.
