In the chaos of the Battle of Uhud, when many fled, one woman stood firm. Nusaybah bint Ka’ab (RA), also known as Umm ‘Ammarah, wasn’t a bystander. She was a warrior.
When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was exposed and vulnerable, Nusaybah fought fiercely to protect him. The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Wherever I turned, to my left or my right on the day of Uhud, I saw her fighting for me.”
(Siyar A‘lam al-Nubala’)
Though she was injured multiple times, her bravery earned her the praise of the Prophet ﷺ himself.
At Adventure Alp, we believe archery is not just a sport—it’s a legacy of strength and service, especially for our sisters.
Legacy Lesson: Archery empowers, disciplines, and prepares. Nusaybah lived that truth on the battlefield—and we carry that spirit forward in our training today.
